The Darlington State Natural Site is a brilliant botanical preserve only five miles north of Florence. The preserve is home to the carnivorous plant known as the cobra lily. The cobra lily traps insects in its hollow tubular leaves.
Located only three miles south of Florence is Jessie M. Honeyman Memorial State Park. This outstanding state park is full of amenities includes 200 plus campsites, ATV access, swimming, fishing and sand boarding.
